Lots of happy Citizens on social media after another great win!

Manchester City remain perfect this season, winning the first eight games of the season to kick off the Pep Guardiola Era in spectacular fashion. The Citizens' latest victim was AFC Bournemouth, who came to Etihad Stadium and were dominated for 90 minutes as the Sky Blues played beautiful football and scored four goals to claim an easy victory.

Guardiola saw a more composed City side, able to keep possession and control the match without giving the opposition any kind of hope. CIty's midfield was once again excpetional in controlling the tempo of the game and create lots of chances for the forwards, who were also alert and dangerous all afternoon. All of that hard work and creativity added up to a great performance and a comfortable win at home.

The Citizens took to social media after the game to share their joy with their followers, and here's a recap of the players' Twitter reactions:

We grade every City player who took part in Saturday's victory

Manchester City remain perfect this season following a comprehensive 4-0 win against AFC Bournemouth on Saturday, to claim a fifth consecutive Premier League victory and finish another week at the top of the table. Pep Guardiola's side was once again dominant for 90 minutes, and easily dispatched the Cherries with a great performance.

We grade every member of the City squad that took part on Saturday's victory, and you'll never guess who was Man of the Match...

Starters

Claudio Bravo: 7.0

Bravo was once again very solid at the back, in both his shot stopping and distribution. When he was tested, he answered the call. After a mistake in the Manchester Derby, Bravo has been excellent in recording back to back clean sheets.

Bacary Sagna: 7.5

The Frenchman has been splitting starts with Pablo Zabaleta recently, but whenever he has made the pitch he's impressed. In a position that demands a lot in the Guardiola system, Sagna has been excellent this season.

Aleksandar Kolarov: 8.0

I'm not sure if Aleks Kolarov is more man or Phoenix at this point. He's been completed reborn under Pep, and another strong showing at CB means Kolarov is almost certainly one of the first names on the team sheet these days.

Nicolas Otamendi: 7.0

Otamendi continues to improve under Pep Guardiola. The defense was never going to be tested all too much, but the way Nico presses and wins the ball back quickly for his side is instrumental in the counter-attack, not to mention he was impervious when called upon in his own half as well.

Gael Clichy: 7.5

Clichy has been out of favor with the rise of Kolarov and the health of Stones and Otamendi, but when needed the Frenchman has played very well. Saturday was a perfect example, imperious in defense and whipped in a few crosses begging on a forward to get on the end of them.

Fernandinho: 8.0

A very worthy call up to the Brazil national team preceded what City supporters are all too familiar with, another incredible performance from Fernandinho in the middle of the park. Whether it's stringing passes to the attackers, or breaking up the opposition's chances, Fernandinho is in wonderful form.

Ilkay Gundogan: 7.0

The first City goal for Gundogan was a beauty. However, the real beauty had nothing to do with Ilkay, it was a world class pass from De Bruyne to allow the German international to slot the ball in and fairly open goal. Before scoring, Gundogan was fairly quiet, perhaps a bit tired trying to play 2 games in 4 days after missing so much time.

Kevin De Bruyne: 9.0 (Man of the Match)

The Belgian Boss. I would like to officially nominate KDB for his new nickname right here, because once again De Bruyne absolutely bossed this game. If performances like this and the last few eeks keep up, people will have to start looking at De Bruyne as the best player in the Premier League.

Nolito: 7.5

First it must be said, a completely unnecessary red for Nolito marred his performance. Before that red, though, Nolito was having an excellent day, earning the free kick leading to De Bruyne's goal and playing many wonderful passes to spring the counter attack.

Raheem Sterling: 8.5

Who is this, and what has he done with Raheem Sterling? All joking aside, Sterling continues to impress this season. Last season we would see him get the ball, try to get to the byline and cross it in, now he's cutting inside, linking with De Bruyne, and using his rapid pace on the counter. An assist and goal could have easily saw Sterling win Man of the Match honors as well.

Kelechi Iheanacho: 8.0

What a replacement for arguably the world's best striker! Since Sergio Agüero's suspension, Nacho has two goals in two Premier League Game and one in a substitute appearance in the Champions League. Whether as a starter or as a weapon off the bench, Iheanacho is quickly developing into a top-quality striker.

Substitutes

John Stones: 7.0

Stones came on in the second half, most likely to give Otamendi a rest and was his usual self. Calmness and quality just ooze from this potential future captain.

Leroy Sané: 6.5

Sané came on once the game was pretty much done and dusted but looks like a great player still. With Nolito possibly missing 3 games, Sane will most likely get his first start sooner rather than later.

Aleix García: 6.5

A premier league debut for the Spaniard, coming on late and helping to secure the clean sheet for City. He lined up deeper, alongside Fernandinho, perhaps a long term replacement in the making for the Brazilian?

Dominant victory for the Citizens!

Manchester City remain perfect this season after winning a fifth Premier League match in a row, dominating AFC Bournemouth en route to a comfortable 4-0 win at Etihad Stadium. Kevin De Bruyne, Kelechi Iheanacho, Raheem Sterling and Ilkay Gundogan scored for the Citizens in a great collective performance from the Sky Blues, who had total control throughout 90 minutes and recorded a great win.

The game began with City stealing the ball inside Bournemouth's half and Kevin De Bruyne taking a shot after just 10 seconds that needed a save from Artur Boruc. That play set the tone for the remainder of the first half, with City in complete control of possession and creating dangerous chances. The Cherries had only one half-chance on the counter, but didn't do anything to truly worry Claudio Bravo.

And City got two first-half goals to show for their dominance. First, De Bruyne took a free-kick in a smart manner, rolling the ball under the wall right into the net as Boruc looked at it. A few minutes later, a spectacular counter-attack that involved five Citizens playing one-touch passes to each other ended with Sterling giving a tap-in to Iheanacho. At halftime, City had the game seemingly in the bag.

The second half began with a City goal after just three minutes. De Bruyne brought the ball on the counter and found Iheanacho, who set up Sterling for the third. De Bruyne was absolutely running the show, and he gave a great assist to Gundogan, who scored his first goal for City in his Premier League debut to make it a four-goal lead for the Citizens.

There was one bad moment when referee Jonathan Moss sent off Nolito for what the official saw as a headbutt on Adam Smith. That was the only lowlight on the game, however, and the Citizens deservedly won the game by destroying the Cherries for 90 minutes.

Man City: Bravo | Sagna, Otamendi (Stones), Kolarov, Clichy | Fernandinho | Sterling, Gundogan (Sané), De Bruyne (García), Nolito | Iheanacho

Goals: De Bruyne (15'), Iheanacho (24'), Sterling (48'), Gundogan (66')

Red Card: Nolito (86')

Bournemouth: Boruc | Smith, Francis, Cook, Daniels | Surman, Arter | Ibe (Wilson), Wilshere (Gosling), Stanislas (Gradel) | King

3 Things

1 - Kevin De Bruyne continues to dominate

The Belgian was already impressive in his debut season at City, but his performances under Pep Guardiola have been nothing short of incredible. Guardiola found a perfect spot on the pitch to insert Kevin, giving him the freedom to run all over the pitch and make plays for himself and his teammates. His free-kick was a thing of beauty, and his passes throughout the game were special. We might be looking at the best player in the Premier League when this season is all said and done. What an incredible footballer.

2 - Raheem Sterling's game still needs work

Sterling was impressive once again, and his confidence is evident by the way he runs at defenders with no fear and is always looking to get involved in the goals. He got a goal and an assist against Bournemouth, but his finishing and decision making still need improvement. He's a 21-year-old kid and Guardiola is clearly helping him get better already, but Raheem needs to continue working hard on his game to achieve the potential we all know he's got.

3 - City can now control games

Pep Guardiola's side had trouble with control in the first few games of the season. After a great first half, the team would slowly fade away and not keep the ball, conceding space and goals to opponents, which would make the game nervous until the end. Over the last two games against Gladbach and Bournemouth, and even in most of the second half of the Manchester Derby, we saw a more composed City side who knows how to control the tempo of the game and keep the opponent from bringing real danger. Guardiola is a real believer in control, and he must be satisfied with the evolution from his team on that aspect.

Another assist from Kevin De Bruyne

Ilkay Gundogan has opened his Manchester City account his Premier League debut, scoring the fourth goal as the Citizens destroyed Bournemouth on Saturday:

This is another spectacular team goal by City. A great buildup play with patient passing and great movement. Then, the final sequence: Kevin De Bruyne to Clichy, to Nolito, to De Bruyne, to Gundogan, goal. De Bruyne got his first real assist of the game, but he was involved in all four goals in what was a sublime performance from the Belgian.

And Gundogan deserved a goal after another great showing in midfield, helping De Bruyne and Fernandinho keep possession, control the game and create chances. This City team looks sensational. And it's just the second month of Pep Ball.

This is another great counter-attacking goal from City, and once again it's Kevin De Bruyne who brings the ball and creates a great chance. Iheanacho is selfish to give Sterling the goal, and Raheem should have finished it better, but the ball crossed the line anyway and that's what counts in the end.

Sterling scored his second goal in the Premier League this season, and clear sign of how great he has been since Pep Guardiola took over the Citizens.

Aleksandar Kolarov's clearance finds Iheanacho, who then finds Nolito, who then finds Kevin De Bruyne, who then finds Raheem Sterling, who then finds Iheanacho again for the goal, finishing off a lightning quick fast break full of great passes and smart runs all over the pitch. Pep Guardiola will be pleased by this goal, no doubt, and the Etihad Stadium has watched a breathtaking first half by the Citizens.

Iheanacho has now scored in three consecutive games, and Sergio Agüero should be worried about his backup, because he's really good.

What a goal by Kevin!!!

Manchester City opened the scoring in the Premier League match against AFC Bournemouth on Saturday thanks to the genius of Kevin De Bruyne, who scored a smart free-kick by simply rolling the ball under the wall into the net.

This is such a smart goal, and it was deserved after City dominated the first 15 minutes, having nearly 70% possession and creating chances to get a goal. De Bruyne was the best player in the early stages of the match, and the the Citizens went ahead with a sensational goal by a player who thinks and reads the game so well.

Well done, Kev!

City look to stay perfect in the league against the Cherries

After a midweek adventure in the Champions League, Manchester City's focus goes back to the domestic competitions. The Premier League is back this Saturday for the Citizens, who face AFC Bournemouth at Etihad Stadium looking to stay perfect.

This has been a phenomenal start for Pep Guardiola. In just two months working with this team, Pep has turned them into a beautiful machine that plays attractive football and scores plenty of goals while winning games. All seven competitive matches have gone in favor of the Sky Blues, and they hope to make it eight from eight against the Cherries.
