Manchester City take on Huddersfield Town in the FA Cup, looking for a 12 successive spot in the fourth round. They face a Terriers side that is struggling in the Championship and will need to fight to retain their second-tier status.

On paper, it should be a routine win for the blues, but, as always in the FA Cup, anything can happen and such a match should not be taken for granted.

As usual, our team are here to give us their gut feelings and predictions for the match.

Good match and we could see some returns here! Give me a nice 3-0 win. The squad keeps building and advancing.

City 3-0 Huddersfield

Huddersfield were tipped to be in a relegation scrap by many going into the Championship season, and those predictions are coming true so far. They did however manage to dig out a few decent results in December. Assuming City heavily rotate, Darren Moore might be one inspirational team talk away from picking up an outstanding result. City have picked up back-to-back league wins for the first time since early November, but still don’t quite look back to their best. A frustrating low block grind from the visitors and a draw would not surprise me.

City 1-1 Huddersfield Town

Usually for a match like this, I’d expect a few goals. But, considering we have a trip to Newcastle next weekend, I’m expecting a good amount of rotation. I do think we’ll be too strong for Huddersfield, however, I’m not expecting a silly scoreline or a shock result.

City 4-1 Huddersfield

Last Time Out

It seems like an age since we faced Sheffield United and, for a change, no one got their prediction correct. Saul was a goal away as he went for 3-0, Craig would have been spot on if City had scored another 3 while Pete was...say no more.

Anyway, here’s the table:
