A great presser.

Manchester City face a stern test and Pep Guardiola had a lot to say. From injuries, brand talk and NUFC, the quotes are a plenty.

On to the recap of the presser-

“It’s not just the trophies, of course the brand is worldwide,”

“We were not a worldwide brand 20 years ago, but more in the UK. But now all the clubs get supporters and people follow us, better sponsors and show in other counties, India, everywhere, adjust to what we are and the way we’ve done.

“Hopefully the people are happy and can follow us. We might not have as many as other clubs but maybe that helps with the young people.

“Always they’ll be there, you change many things in your life but your team is always there. Maybe in 10 years we’ll see lots of City fans from this decade we did here. It’s part of the process to grow as a club.”

On injuries

“No,” he said when asked if Haaland will play at Newcastle.

“Jack [Grealish] has been sick. Hopefully today he’s back.

“Erling is out and John is out. I think that’s everything.”

“Always has been [tough opponents] especially since Eddie Howe took over,” he said.

“The opponent is there.

“We’ve faced him many times with Bournemouth and Newcastle. We have a good history together.”

On Sven

“A true gentleman. He was here in the England national team and with other countries, it’s really sad news.

“I admire the courage to explain the situation.

“He’ll be with his loved ones. I’m pretty sure he’ll battle the doctors and everyone to maybe find a solution and extend the spirit, the battle.

“On behalf of Manchester City, all of us offer him huge, huge support. Of course anything we can do, we will do it.”

A great match lays ahead of us.
