Manchester City end 2023 with a home match against struggling Sheffield United. The blues could move into second place with victory over the Blades despite their ‘mini-crisis’ that has apparently plagued the last few matches.

The blues have drawn the last three home matches and need to end that run on Saturday, ending the year on a high.

As usual, our team are here to give their final gut feelings and predictions of 2023.

Saul

A get right match if I’ve ever seen. City should win comfortably. 3-0.

City 3-0 United

Craig

Sheffield United are one of the worst teams we’ve seen in the Premier League in some time. Even when they play somewhat okay against fellow strugglers, they end up losing. Anything can happen in football but this really does have huge City win written all over it.

City 5-0 Sheffield United

Pete

This match has the potential to be messy, however, with Haaland and Doku out injured, it may not be the goal fest that it could be. However, City looked in the mood, particularly in the second half at Goodison Park and I think they could keep this going against the Blades. I’m going for a stupidly big win here.

City 7-0 Sheffield United

Last Time Out

Saul continues to storm away at the top of our predictions table, with another two points for the correct goal difference. Dillon, Craig and Pete were all a goal away from a perfect score, but still only get a point apiece.

Here’s the latest table;
