Preview

City crushed Wycombe Wanderers 6-1 in the Carabao Cup, while Chelsea beat Aston Villa on penalties at Stamford Bridge in the same competition.

The last meeting came over that ill fated three match stretch at the end of last season.

Something will have to give as City look to avenge those losses. I try to keep these previews impartial, but I see City really struggling again. We’ll see.

Which team will come out in front?

Team News

Pep Guardiola’s side have Rodrigo, Aymeric Laporte, Oleks Zinchenko, Ilkay Gundogan and John Stones as questionable. Ben Mendy remains suspended.

For Chelsea, Christian Pulisic and Timo Werner are doubtful.

Prediction

Manchester City 1-1 Chelsea
