Manchester City could have a mini exodus ion its hand in these final weeks of the summer transfer window.
Recent reports from the Daily Mail, suggest Bernardo Silva, Gabriel Jesus and Aymeric Laporte want out of Manchester.
Let’s start with Bernardo who has wanted out since the window began. He is said to be unhappy with the weather in Manchester and limited time playing. So, with the arrival of Jack Grealish, many consider him surplus to requirements and could head out soon. Many suitors have been interested but the only serious one is Atletico Madrid. The reigning La Liga champions want him and don't want to pay much. It’s put City in a pickle as they look to offload unhappy players at a fair price. I do see City settling for 40m pounds and frankly they shouldn't. We’ll see how this one ends up.
Gabriel Jesus is also unhappy withy playing time and most recently was linked to Juventus of Italy. The Brazilian striker wants constant minutes at striker and Pep has not been willing to make him undisputed at City. Often playing a false nine or rotating the front three has not been encouraging for Jesus. One interesting scenario is him being made a part of the Harry Kane deal as City are quite high on the English striker. That could work for both sides in theory.
Lastly, Laporte may be the trickiest of the two as his desires are in Spain with the big two in Barcelona and Real Madrid. That because those clubs cannot afford to sign players for high values and City will no doubt look to recoup much of what was spent on him. His deal seems the most unlikely and he will have to stay and fight for his spot in all likelihood.
Thoughts on the three players who want out?
