It’s Matchday Morning at Bitter and Blue! After the week we’ve had, it’ll be nice to be able to think about the action on the pitch instead of the headlines off of it. Today the Gunners visit the Etihad in Premier League action. Saul Garcia, Arjun Ahuja, and myself give you our final thoughts and predictions for Manchester City v Arsenal FC.
Saul Garcia
Manchester City face a downtrodden Arsenal and the match will be a fun one. The midfield will dictate the match as City, without KDB and Foden, will look for Grealish and the wingers for creativity. If they can outplay Arsenal’s mid it’s going to result in a City victory. Nothing easy with Citeh though.
Manchester City 2-0 Arsenal FC.
Arjun Ahuja
On the back of what was the most insane 72 hours of supporting Manchester City Football Club, what happens on the pitch against Arsenal should be more of the same. If City’s backline are organized and aware of the threat of Aubameyang’s pace in behind, they should be able to create enough chances to put a few past Arsenal’s already suspect defense. Mahrez scores twice, City win.
Manchester City 2-0 Arsenal FC.

With Arsenal having not found their Premier League form after two weeks, and with City looking to drown out the noise around the club, the Blues will be looking to make a statement on the day. Look for Jack Grealish and Gabriel Jesus to push the issue up front, and Ruben Dias and Aymeric LaPorte to stay rock steady in front of Ederson. It’s Ilkay Gundogan for Man of the Match.
Manchester City 3-1 Arsenal FC.
There you have it. What are your thoughts? Can City put the off field distractions aside? Will Mikel Arteta’s team finally show some life in the league? Follow @bitterandblue1 all day on twitter for live reactions and match recaps.
