Pep Guardiola held his usual pre match press conference and it was a comprehensive one. The Catalan manager tackled many topics from Cristiano Ronaldo, current squad and the Arsenal match.

Let’s dive in-

“I am not thinking of leaving after two years. I could leave in two months if the results are not good, or the organisation is tired of me, or I cannot handle better these players.

“I can leave in three months like I can leave in five years.

“What I said on a Zoom connection with business people in Brazil is after my period with Manchester City, I will take a break, that’s for sure.

“That could be in one month, two years, three years, four years, five years.

“Right now, today, I don’t have reasons to leave. I am not thinking in two seasons I am going to leave Manchester City.

“I am committed to playing better, that is my target this season and I am going to try it.

“I cannot say much. Harry Kane announced he is continuing to his club, an exceptional club like Tottenham. Cristiano is a Juventus player and I can’t say anything else. All I can say in these three, four days left of the transfer window anything can happen.”

“Right now I am more than delighted with the squad we have and we will stay the same.”

“I had to speak with the club about the meetings they had with the Premier League. But it makes no sense to play for the national team and come back and stay ten days in a hotel. We have Leicester and they can’t play. The position of the club, I think, they will not travel.”

“Two games. We have played two games, not 20 or 50. Sometimes I think managers are crazy to do the job, they trust Mikel a lot because they spend money to reinforce the team. It’s just two games.”

“Give more time to build what they want to build. People want success immediately/ you need time. It doesn’t matter what happens - it is an opinion we have here and everyone knows what we think about him. [Arteta]”

The manager can feel good with this squad but it does need a striker, We’ll see if that gets addressed before close of window.
