Bernardo Silva is still trying to exit the club. Recent reports had him agreeing to terms with AC Milan and a deal could be in the works. The cold water arrives when Manchester City want at least 50 million euros and Milan are not going to spend more than 40.
Adding to that, Jon Smith of Goal reported this morning-
Bernardo Silva being linked with a switch to AC Milan. My understanding is that there is no expectation that he will be moving there— Jonathan Smith (@jonnysmiffy) August 24, 2021
So unless Milan meet the valuation there is no chance he will leave this window. Silva has performed decently well in for City so far, but he could make this all a mess if he pushes harder to exit in the last week of the window.
Bernardo and his wanting an exit should have been done sooner, but seeing as there is no real suitors and the clubs in Spain’s La Liga can’t really spend this window that limits City ability to get a good deal.
Ultimately, something will have to give this window. We’ll see who it is.
