Liam Delap could join the Championship side Stoke City on loan for this upcoming season.
Latest reports from Secret Scout include that the Premier League Champions would “like to guarantee a number of starts for Delap in any potential contract, as they seek to try and provide the striker with consistent first-team football.”
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola would love the player to stay as the 18 year-old impressed when he scored within 18 minutes of his senior debut in the Carabao Cup last season.
Delap has also already toured Stoke’s facilities and could seal the move soon.
This move could work for City IF they get another striker in as depth is very thin there at the moment. Gabriel Jesus and playing Ferran Torres or any other winger in there is not enough for this season in my opinion. Delap should be given a shot with the first team if no striker is signed.
Time will tell if he leaves for a season. Thoughts on Delap’s possible loan?
