Manchester City ‘Ignore’ opportunity to sign Cristiano Ronaldo -report

Seemed unlikely anyway.

What a few days for Manchester City, huh?

The club while still underway with attempting to sign Harry Kane were suddenly linked to Cristiano Ronaldo for as low a fee as 25 million euros, which seemed ludicrous.

Then multiple sources claimed it was on then off and now in the latest is that Manchester City ‘Ignore’ opportunity to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo himself took to Instagram to disprove the rumors of an exit and that coupled with this latest report the City would not want him should put this to bed. I doubt that though as the transfer world continues put out tenuous links between him and multiple clubs including City.

Plus, he does not seem to fit the profile of City players. Age combined with not the best reputation can lead to standoffs and Pep and City would not want that anywhere near City.

This seems to me more an indictment on the trafficking of fake transfer rumors and supposed ‘people in the know’ when there is few of those in reality.

Anyway, Ronaldo to City seems highly unlikely.

Thoughts on Ronaldo ‘rumors’?
