Oleksandr Zinchenko Set to be First Choice Left Back

Ukrainian star will start at left back this season. Oleks Zinchenko has become a bit of a regular at City under Pep Guardiola and he has scratched and clawed to get better at the position despite being a natural midfielder.

This is well deserved and the report states that will eliminate the need to sign a left back with him and Ben Mendy seems as enough for the Catalan manager.

I know fans had clamored for one, but this makes the most sense IF City can get a striker and perhaps just as important another true defensive midfielder.

Zinchenko has played well and until he proves he can’t handle the spot we should be fine there. The other two positions are crucial though and priority should be made to sign those players.

Giving Zincenko this vote of confidence should do wonders for his self esteem and we know he defends the shirt with love and true passion. Seems like a win-win.
