Let’s take a look at who Manchester City could include in the Premier League 25 man squad for the current season (2021-22).

For the goal keeping options, the three keepers definitely will be Ederson who will be keeping most of the time, Zach Steffen who will be decent backup in the cup competitions or if Ederson isn't available. Rounding us out will be Scott Carson who will cover if needed and he is a great figure to have in the dressing room.

At left back, it should be Olexsander Zinchenko who isn't a true left back but has worked really hard since he joined. He will be challenged by Benjamin Mendy, it seems at this moment in time and he will want to prove that the injuries are behind him and that he can be trusted.

In central defence, it will be Ruben Dias and John Stones, who were first choice together most of the time followed by Nathan Ake and Aymeric Laporte who will want to oust the first choice pairing.

At right back, the options will pure quality in Kyle Walker and Joao Cancelo who challenged each other to the limits last season. They both jostled each other in different moments of last season.

Rodrigo and Fernandinho will be options that can be used in central defensive midfield. They are quality options who can be called upon when Pep Guardiola requires either of them.

In midfield, it will be the world class maestro Kevin De Bruyne followed by the new £100 million signing Jack Grealish, whom Pep reportedly said will play in midfield (H/T SB). Ilkay Gündogan who was the top scorer last season, Bernardo Silva who I hope stays but if not the youthful Cole Palmer, Tommy Doyle or James McAtee might be used over the course of the season.

In the wings, it will be Phil Foden followed by Raheem Sterling who is rumoured to sign a new contract, Ferran Torres and Riyad Mahrez.

Up front, it will be Gabriel Jesus a, however, if the world class goal scorer Harry Kane joins as he is expected to he will be one of the options up front.
