The Catalan manager, Pep Guardiola is said to be keen to keep his defender and squad happy. John Stones has been a standout performer at the Euros helping England keep a clean sheet in every match and now are in the semi finals with a good shot of making it all the way.
This, on the heels of a fantastic comeback season that saw him cement his place in City’s backline as he is now a key part of the team.
This to me seems a great job by the board to keep star players happy and as has been reported Raheem Sterling and Oleks Zinchenko are next on the contract to do list.
Stones without a doubt deserves this extension and it should get done.
