Manchester City believe that they will end up getting this deal done and are ‘really confident’ on it. That from Pete O’Rourke on the “The Done Deal Show” has reported this.
That would make plenty of sense given City’s opening bid was 75m pounds and a deal should be reached soon despite Aston Villa standing by their 100m pounds valuation.
I do see that fee being somewhere in the middle which would make it City’s most expensive signing ever. Will it be worth it? Only time will tell.
Grealish is a fantastic player and there is the “English tax” on him for signing a domestic player the fee will be higher as we saw recently with Ben White’s move to Arsenal for 50m pounds.
Talent is untenable and Pep Clearly wants the player so let’s get this done. I’d prefer him to Harry Kane for 150m plus.
Thoughts on City’s confidence?
