Manchester City Women will kick off their hunt for the WSL title with a trip to Everton on the opening day. Gareth Taylor’s girls will face former blue Toni Duggan, who recently re-joined the Toffees after leaving Atletico Madrid and will line up against her former club.

City’s first home game of the season will come in the shape of Spurs, who the blues thumped 4-1 in the corresponding fixture last season, before facing a trip to Arsenal and another former blue in the third match of the season. Nikita Parris joined the Gunners after leaving Lyon and joins an already formidable strike force in North London.

The first derby of the season will be played on the weekend of 8-10th October, when City travel across town to face United, while their first league encounter with champions Chelsea will be played on the weekend of 12-14th November in Manchester.

Before the Chelsea match, the blues will travel to newly promoted Leicester, with the Foxes making their debut in the WSL, and the last league game of 2021 sees the blues welcome Reading to Manchester.

The end of January and beginning of February will be a huge test of City’s title credentials. They welcome Arsenal to Manchester, before travelling to West London to face Chelsea, before facing United at the Academy Stadium.

City’s final game will see them travel to Reading, with the last home match of the season will see Brighton in Manchester.

The blues missed out on the WSL title by just two points last season and will be looking to go a step further this time around.

The opening games are due to be played on Sunday 5th September with a 2pm kick-off, although this is of course, subject to change.
