Manchester City’s pre-season friendly against Preston North End will be played behind closed doors, the club have announced today.

The blues closed the Academy Building on Friday due to a rise in the number of reported cases of the virus, and with the game set to be played next Tuesday, the club have taken the decision to close the doors to supporters.

City fans will be able to watch the match by signing up to a City+ subscription through the club’s website.
