Manchester City will begin the new preparations in earnest for the 2021/22 season by hosting a friendly match with Preston North End on Tuesday 27 July.
The match will be the first played by City in what will be their title defense season.
You can watch the match and much more thanks to a CITY+ subscription, where you can also access full-match replays of all our Men’s, Women’s and selected EDS and Academy matches throughout the new season.
The second match announced is vs a sister club in Troyes. Manchester City will play fellow CFG club ES Troyes AC as part of this summer’s pre-season schedule.
Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions will travel to France to face the Ligue 2 title-holders on Saturday 31 July.
Troyes became the 10th CFG club in September 2020 and went on to lift the Ligue 2 title later that season. Promotion to the top tier of French football ended a three-year absence for the 2001 UEFA Intertoto Cup winners.
A great match for City supporters as City expand their global imprint.
So close to the start of the season! Let’s go!
