The dust has barely began to settle on the Euros and we’re already taking transfers, but before we dive into the questions of who will be arriving and leaving Manchester City, we take a look back at the blues in action over the summer and ask you to pick the stand-out player of the Euros.

City had 13 representatives at the Euros, and all made it through to the knockout stages, but started dropping out from the last 16. First to go was Nathan Ake’s Netherlands, who were beaten 2-0 by the Czech Republic.

Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva were next to fall, as their Portugal side were beaten 1-0 by Kevin de Bruyne’s Belgium.

Rodrigo, Ferran Torres and Aymeric Laporte all advanced to the quarter-final as Spain beat Croatia 5-3 after extra time, before Raheem Sterling set England on course for victory over Ilkay Gundogan’s Germany the following day.

Oleksandr Zinchenko was in inspired form later that evening as he scored one and provided the assist as Ukraine beat Sweden 2-1.

In the last 8, City’s Spanish trio advanced to the semi-final as they beat Switzerland on penalties, while de Bruyne’s Belgium exited at the hands of Italy. Sterling was on hand again to provide an assist to Harry Kane as Zinchenko’s Ukraine were crushed by England, as the Three Lions reached their second successive semi-final.

With just 7 City representatives left, blues fans were hoping for a Spain-England final, however Italy took them to penalties and came out 4-2 winners, while England’s quartet edged past Denmark, with Sterling being fouled in the area, which lead to England’s winner.

With just four blues remaining, Sterling, John Stones and Kyle Walker all started the final, but it wasn’t to be for the Three Lions as the Azzurri won 3-2 on penalties.

It was an exhilarating tournament, with lots of highs, lows and some big surprises along the way, so who was your City player of the tournament?
