It’s the International Break and many of the Blues have been called up to feature for their respective National Teams. Let’s take a look how they fared in the Friendlies.

Aymeric Laporte, Ferran Torres and Rodri feature for Spain in a stalemate against Portugal

Laporte got his first cap for Spain and started in his usual position as a CB, and played 80 minutes before he got subbed.

Torres lasted the full 90 minutes on the pitch.

Rodri was subbed on in the 63rd minute after which he completed the game.

Mahrez chip helps Algeria beat Mali

A sumptuous lob from Riyad Mahrez was enough to earn Algeria a hard-fought friendly triumph over Mali.

The City winger latched onto Youcef Belaili’s ball just before the hour and finished in typically impressive style to extend the Desert Foxes’ incredible unbeaten run to 26 matches.

Mahrez is also expected to feature for Algeria in their next friendly match against Tunisia.

Nathan Ake came on as half time substitute for Netherlands against Georgia

With the EUROs on the horizon, Nathan Ake came on as a substitute as the Oranje cruised past Georgia in a warm up match.

The Dutch Defender maintained a calm presence at the heart of the defence for Netherlands as they rounded off preparations for Euro 2020 in style.

The defender scored a stunning free-kick in a training session, much to the delight of his Holland teammates, which has since been posted on social media.

Oleksandr Zinchenko undisputed from the spot as Ukraine top Cyprus

Zinchenko started as a CAM for Ukraine in their 4-0 thumping win against Cyprus. He scored from the spot in the 45+2 minute and completed full 90 minutes on the pitch.

Elsewhere, England edged out Romania in the Three Lions’ final friendly match before Euro 2020.

The friendly at Middlesbrough’s Riverside stadium came too soon for England’s City contingent of Kyle Walker, John Stones, Phil Foden and Kyle Walker, who were all given an extended rest period following the Champions League final.

However, they rejoined the rest of the squad on Friday will be ready and raring to go ahead of Sunday’s opening match of the tournament against Croatia.

Marcus Rashford’s penalty goal was the only goal of the game.

Gundogan scores as Germany thrash Latvia

Ilkay Gundogan was one among the 7 different scorers for Germany as the Die Mannschaft drubbed Latvia in their last warm up match ahead of the European Championship. He lasted 60 minutes on the pitch before getting subbed.
