Issa Kabore formerly of KV Mechelen and now of the City Football Group network has moved to ESTAC Troyes, the French division's outpost of CFG. Troyes is notably in Ligue1 this season and with CFG’s investment have a good shot at staying up.
Kabore is a great young fullback and is on track to join City next summer after much needed playing time this upcoming season in Ligue 1.

Scouted Football has a great deep dive into the player here. He is an all terrain player, meaning he can defend and attack and was noteworthy in Belgium playing a good amount.
He is one of several promising stars City want to develop before bringing him over. The post-Brexit rules have really tightened up and this is one way to maneuver around them as these players get playing time in “Top 5’ leagues gives them an excellent chance to being given a work permit in England.
Other players who will follow this model are Yan Couto, Metinho, Kayky and two players at sister club NYCFC.
Thoughts on Manchester City’s strategy?
