Manchester City defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis has joined Vincent Kompany’s Anderlecht on loan for next season.
The 19 year old defender signed a four year contract at City last December, before spending the second half of the season on loan at Blackburn Rovers. Harwood-Bellis has made 19 appearances for the Ewood Park outfit, helping Blackburn finish 15th in the Championship.
The youngster made his City debut in a League Cup match at Preston North End in September 2019, when City won 3-0, and scored his first and only senior goal to date when he netted City’s third in a 4-1 FA Cup victory over Port Vale.
And he has made one appearance in the Champions League when he came on as an 82nd minute substitute during a 4-1 win over Dinamo Zagreb in December 2019.
Harwood-Bellis links up once again with former City captain and blue legend Kompany, who is now the Head Coach at the Belgian side.
We wish Taylor the best of luck at Anderlecht, and look forward to seeing him in a blue shirt again soon.
