Pep Guardiola Nominated for Premier League Manager of the Season award

Another award potentially in the works for the Catalan.

Pep Guardiola has been nominated for the 2020/21 Premier League Manager of the Season award.

The City manager is on a five-man shortlist for the award and is up against Marcelo Bielsa of Leeds, West Ham boss David Moyes, Leicester City’s Brendan Rodgers and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer of Manchester United.

Guardiola led City to a third Premier League title in four years, leading a quite magnificent league campaign.

A campaign that included many records broken notably, he and the club established a new Premier League record for the longest sequence of wins from the start of a calendar year thanks with 13 league victories chalked up between January 3 and March 2 of this year.

City would go on to make more records as the really remarkable run of 21 consecutive wins in all competitions between December and March was another new English topflight record.

City also set another top-flight record by registering 12 consecutive Premier League away wins.

It was a great domestic campaign for Pep Guardiola and Manchester City.
