Raheem Sterling has been adamant to his inner circle that he will stay at City for a while.
It is even mentioned by MEN, that he will discuss a new deal after the Euros and fully expects to be a City player next season.
Similar sources propose a huge sign that he has it in mind to commit his future to the club, Sterling is set to announce a new community initiative in Manchester to mirror work he has done with kids in the down trodden London borough of Brent, where he grew up.
Sterling still has two years left on his contract at City, and is focused entirely on England at the moment which is fair and as such there will be no discussions about their future until the tournament is over.
Still, the fact that his current deal is up in 2023 has provoked a heavy bevy of speculation about Sterling’s future, with the player being linked with Barcelona, and Arsenal, and even being mentioned as a possible swap piece in the game to try to land Tottenham icon and England teammate Harry Kane.
I do welcome this news that he has every intention to stay as he still has much to give.
Thoughts on Sterling?
