Manchester City defender Eric Garcia will re-join Barcelona when his contract expires at the end of the month.
The Spanish international started his career at the Catalan club before moving to City in 2017, but has only made 35 senior appearances for the club. He featured mostly for City during their injury-hit campaign of 2019/20, when City defensive frailties were exposed following the departure of Vincent Kompany and injury to Aymeric Laporte.
However, the 20-year-old made just 12 appearance for City this season, starting only three with manager Pep Guardiola preferring the partnership of John Stones and Ruben Dias.
Garcia has made seven appearances for Spain since making his debut last September and has been included in the national side’s Euro 2020 squad.
The youngster will sign a five year contract at Barca, and will join legendary striker Sergio Aguero, who will also join the Catalan club in July when his contract expires.
