Declan Rice is the latest name linked to Manchester City as they attempt to replace legend Fernandinho. Rice is the latest name floated though the price could be a huge sticking point. The Times Sport reported City could be scared off since David Moyes is saying he is worth more than £100M. City would not go that high, with the midfielder they are looking to sign not being guaranteed playing time, competing with Rodri.
It’s a tricky situation and even being English makes the deal that much harder. Rice is a mint player, but at 100+ is not worth it. There is value elsewhere in the market.
City could surely sign someone else for one quarter of the price. That would be the smart maneuver as City also need to sign another striker who would warrant a bigger fee.
Either way Man City are sure in for a quite busy summer.
