Okay, that’s me signing off, I’m about to knock back another bottle of valium and prepare my seat behind the sofa.
I’m leaving you in the more than capable hands of Saul, who has the unenviable task of watching and tweeting. See you all on the other side
COME ON CITY!!!!!!!
Re 1930 and Lawrenson’s comments.
When City played Chelsea in the FA Cup, Pep played a weakened side and lost. When they played in the league, Pep played a weakened side and lost again. City could afford to lose that match and there was no way he was going to reveal his best 11 and tactics before the CL final.
Tuchel had to against Leicester in the FA Cup and Pep will be aware of weaknesses in Chelsea’s line up and exploit them.
In Pep we trust guys
Mark Lawrenson has got his head screwed on tonight. Been thinking this all week
“I’m going with City to win it, and win it in 90 minutes.
Chelsea haven’t faced City’s big hitters yet, but they have already played a couple of different ways to beat Guardiola’s side in the past few weeks.
Yes, Thomas Tuchel got it absolutely right tactically each time, but there won’t be a surprise element to how he lines up his team this time.
He has showed Pep Guardiola his Plan A and his Plan B, and I am not sure there is a Plan C.”
Some not happy about the line-up, but Pep knows best guys. We’ve got this
Foden vs Mount
Will this be the night for the Stockport Iniesta? Two goals against Dortmund sent City into the semi-final. Will he be the key tonight and silence the threat of Mason Mount?
So Leroy Sane has wished us good luck for tonight. I now feel really, really guilty about my entry at 1745.
1 HOUR TO GO
Sterling starts tonights match, with Zinchenko at left back. Ferna on the bench
It is 51 years since City won the European Cup Winners Cup in Vienna. They beat Polish side Gornik Zabrze 2-1 to lift their only European trophy to date. And they did it without Mike Summerbee, who was out injured.
Neil Young and Francis Lee scored to win the trophy for City’s legendary wing wizard.
This time 22 years ago, City fans were getting ready to descend on Wembley as the blues fought to get out of the Third Division at the 1st attempt. Today, we fight to be crowned Champions of Europe.
Just let that sink in a little
2 HOURS TO KICK OFF!!!
Trying not to laugh but last year Leroy Sane watched Bayern Munich lift the Champions League when he was a City player.
This year, he could watch City lift the Champions League as a Bayern player.
Like I said, I'm trying...
How will you celebrate if we win?
When City secured promotion at Blackburn in 2000, I was on holiday in Corfu. I ran to the hotel pool and belly-flopped into it, hacking off all the other holidaymakers in the process.
What's the craziest celebration you've ever done?
Briefly returning to Brentford, in 1989, City went to Griffin Park for an FA Cup third round tie with The Bees. The blues were flying high in Division 2, while Brentfor were languishing in Division 3. The result?
Brentford 3-1 City
We played them the following season in the League Cup 2nd round. Brentford won the 1st leg 2-1, but City won the s2nd leg 4-1.
Bit of mindless history for you there. Is it 8 o’clock yet?
Our writers are having different experiences of tonight's match. Saul, who will tweet you through the match, will be live from Florida, Eunice will be with his City supporting mum, Caroline is hiding and Amy is having a chippy tea with a few beers.
Think Amy has the right idea

In non City related news, congratulations to Brentford for securing promotion to the PrekiervLeague for the first time. See you next season Bees fans
Anyone know what time to take Valium so it kicks in for 8pm? Asking for 50,000 friends
Chelsea have already beaten us twice this season, however on both occasions Pep fielded a weaker team. Is that a gamble that will pay off tonight?
The day has arrived. Manchester City take on Chelea in the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL!!!
How are your nerves blues?
We're going to be soaking up some of the pre match atmosphere before the 8pm kick off and we want you involved.
Send us your thoughts, fears and feelings as we get ready for the biggest match of the season.
