Yangel Herrera could be headed back to parent club Manchester City. Sport reported that
‘Granada have an option to buy Yangel Herrera from #ManCity for €20M, but this figure is ‘unaffordable’. The La Liga club will try to retain Herrera ‘by all means’ and will ‘seek some formula’ to convince the player and Man City for a transfer.’
He would be a great option and not cost a thing as he re-enters the fray at City under Pep Guardiola. Rumors' of signing a midfielder had quelled and this could be why. That option seems unlikely to be triggered by Granada and could very well be by design.
Herrera has been a rock for Granada who played well in the Europa League and were only knocked out by a huge club in Manchester United. In La Li9ga, Herrera has proven his worth and could come to City as a perfect Fernandinho replacement.
Thoughts on a potential Herrera return?
