Pep Guardiola knows his team can go very far. Speaking before the crucial second leg match v Borussia Dortmund, Pep spoke about mentality, wanting to win and much more.

Let’s dive in-

“If we want to win, we have to deserve it and go for it,”

“That is going to happen, the way we have done many times this season. The intention always was this. We are going to do it again tomorrow.

“Of course, we have to control emotions, but sometimes you need emotions to win these games. We go there to win, each one will need to be a leader on the pitch.

“The guys who are more nervous, play simple and maybe five minutes later you are ready to make a good performance.

“It’s a football game. We start 2-1. In the last 26, 27 games they have scored, so we have to score goals and to do that we have to play our game and be effective up front.”

“You have to try and execute our plan,”

“It doesn’t matter what happens in the first leg, you have a chance in the second.

“Our idea is to go there do as best as possible and let them feel we are not going to defend what we got here. We want to impose our game to win the game.”

“So now, 11 years in a row we will be in the Champions League. No team in the Premier League has ever done 11 in a row, that is fantastic.

“After 27 wins in 29 games, if i don’t trust players we would have a big, big problem. I would be crazy.”

Pep is correct to have the upmost confidence in his players and the game will be intense. We’ll see if Pep and this City team can get over the hump soon.

I think they will.
