The kick-off time for Manchester City Women’s FA Cup clash with Aston Villa has been brought forward to 12.00pm following advice from the FA.
The match at the Academy Stadium was originally planned for 1pm, however the FA have recommended that no football take place between 2.45pm and 4.15pm on Saturday as a mark of respect to Prince Philip, who sadly passed away on Friday. The Duke’s funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon at 3.00pm.
City’s men’s team’s FA Cup semi-final at Wembley against Chelsea will still go ahead as planned as the kick-off time for that one remains at 5.30pm.
Black arm bands will be worn by both sets of teams and a minute’s silence will be held prior to the start of both matches.
All at Bitter and Blue send our deepest condolences to Her Majesty The Queen and the wider royal family at this difficult time.
