Fernandinho joins Sergio Aguero as the latest Manchester City staple to depart the Etihad. According to The Athletic, the Brazilian stars time at City is running down.

Many suitors have been bandied about already with two of them in the City Football Group world as a coach in the CFG system or a spot in CFG’s MLS team New York City FC. More likely though would be a return to Brazil at Paranaense.

Ferna has been a staple at City since his arrival and has contributed to many titles and incredible teams. He is a true leader. It’s why Pep trusts in him and why his teammates love him.

It’d be a shame of he left this summer, but understandable as he wants to play game in and game out. Can’t fault him there and City are already looking for replacements in the likes of Denis Zakaria.

Giving him a proper send off with more titles seems the least City could do for a club legend.
