Pep Guardiola knows Everton will be a tough out. Playing tomorrow (20.3.21) in the quarter finals of the FA Cup should prove a tall task for City.

The Catalan manager also spoke highly about Carlo Ancelotti and on injuries. Let’s dive in to what he said-

“Quarter-finals at Goodison Park against Everton, it’s always tough,”

“We were there a few weeks ago and we know how difficult it was to beat them.

“We won in the second half because of exceptional actions from Bernardo and Riyad Mahrez.

“We fought a lot, (Dominic) Cavert-Lewin is back and he is an important striker for them this season.

“But at the same time it’s the last game before international break, and hopefully we can finish well before we start in an important part of the season.”

“He has been manager of the best clubs in Europe - Milan, Juventus, Napoli, PSG, Madrid,” Guardiola said at his pre-match press conference.

“All places he had success. I know people talk about him as a manager and a person. He took care of me when I started. I visited him when he was at Milan.

“He allowed me to see one or two training sessions as well. We spoke a little bit about football and life, nothing special.

“Always off the pitch he is so gentle. I admire him a lot.”

Pep v Carlo has proven entertaining so far in their matchups to date. I expect more of the same tomorrow.
