Pep Guardiola has provided an update on Nathan Ake ahead of our second-leg clash against Borussia Monchengladbach on Tuesday 16th March.
Ake suffered a muscular injury in December against Newcastle United and is yet to return for the Blues.

Pep revealed that the whole squad has travelled to Budapest for what is our ‘home leg’ and he wants Ake to be involved “as soon as possible”. Ake travelling suggests he is not far off from match fit and hopefully, we will see him return soon.

City fans were left confused when Raheem Sterling was left out of the squad in our 3-0 win at Craven Cottage on Saturday. Sterling was not injured but was instead left out for ‘tactical reasons’.
Guardiola confirmed that Sterling was respectful of his decision, despite recent media attention that they had fallen out, which Sterling dismissed.
The positive is there was no falling out, which seemed unlikely anyway.
