Manchester City produced a fine second-half performance to beat Fulham 3-0 and extend the unbeaten run away from home to a club record-equalling 16 matches.

John Stones, Gabriel Jesus and a Sergio Aguero penalty made the difference, with three goals in 15 minutes securing a crucial three points in bid to regain the Premier League title.

On to the reaction-

Pep Guardiola Reaction

“He deserves it,” said Pep, when asked if Stones should now be recalled to the national team.

“Of course Gareth Southgate knows better than me what he needs, but I would be delighted and happy if he is back in the national team.

“Another great performance. The goal was so important. The way he played, I am so happy.”

“Of course it’s important. For him goals are everything, Gabriel too,” Guardiola declared.

“Everybody wants to jump on the bus – he is more than welcome!

“It was so important his goal - he played 90 minutes for the first time in a long time.

“They are a tough side, very physical. It was not easy for the guys, we were patient and incredibly solid in behind. We didn’t concede set pieces.

“All 11 players and (substitutes) Fernandinho and Eric (Garcia) - all of them were fantastic.”

“It was an important, brilliant victory,” Guardiola added.

“In general, the game was really good, in a tough stadium. They arrived here in top form, they won at Anfield and have conceded few goals. They create chances. We controlled them well.

“We knew we had three games in three different competitions.

“We have eight games left now in Premier League and now we focus on the Champions League.”
