The Belgian would be a force at City.

Is Romelu Lukaku a real target for Manchester City? The Athletic recently linked two forwards to City of the Erling Haaland deal falls by the wayside. Those two are Danny Ings and Romelu Lukaku.

With the Belgian, he has been at Inter Milan a minute now after his switch from Manchester United and has been an impact player for the nerazzurri. He’s been on par with the best of the best in Serie A so maybe he could work under Pep at City.

I know, I know, the Serie A is not the Premier League, but his issues at United and even with Everton and Chelsea lacked a huge piece, service. Guess who has not only a compatriot, but one of his good friends? That’s Manchester City and Belgium’s own Kevin De Bruyne.

I actually do think it would be a great signing. He’s young enough and with a real team around him he could thrive.

Inter being down bad financially also helps and his reported fee of 60-80m Euros could be brought down due to those dire straits. If the fee is under the record fee for City, I could see this deal getting done.

Thoughts on Lukaku potentially arriving at City?
