Danny Ings joins Manchester City’s List of Summer Targets

Could he solve City’s striker woes?

Danny Ings joins the list of potential strikers who could join Manchester City this summer. That according to the Athletic who also say City will look strongly at Kevin De Bruyne compatriot, Romelu Lukaku.

Ings fee would be much more manageable running from 15-18 million pounds according to TransferMarkt. Ings is a solid striker, and strikes me as a depth signing. Though recent matches have shown Pep’s willingness to go striker-less, it may be due to lack of options. Ings for his part, has 7 goals and 3 assists in the 17 league games this season. Like I said, he is solid and could fill a role.

If the fee is right, I would not mind him adding to the squad and it also helps he would be a borderline English international for a reasonable price. If it does not impact other plans (Haaland or Messi) I’d be all for it and a midfielder and/or fullback as well.

Thoughts on Ings?
