Manchester City v Liverpool: Player Ratings

City played a great match, let’s see the ratings for the club.

Manchester City scored four times in the second half as Ilkay Gundogan, Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden took full advantage of Alisson made mistakes.

Let’s take a look at some ratings for the players and feel free to add yours in the comments.

Manchester City ratings

Ederson: 7 – Great on the ball and collecting crosses. Solid game by him

Joao Cancelo: 7 – Workman like tonight and solid defensively.

John Stones: 8 – An aerial threat despite getting goal ruled out and composed defensively all night

Ruben Dias: 6 – A mistake free run ended as he fouled Salah and gave up a penalty, but was good overall after that.

Oleksandr Zinchenko: 8 – Maybe his best match as City player. Real composure and width.

Rodri: 7 – A professional performance as the Spaniard did the hard work today.

Ilkay Gundogan: 8.5 – Despite a missed spot kick, played great and scored a couple times as he continues to be the bedrock of this team. Awesome match for him.

Bernardo Silva: 8 –An assist and played well everywhere. Selfless where it mattered and it showed,

Riyad Mahrez: 5 – Mediocre today, could not do much and was subbed off rather early for Pep.

Phil Foden: 9.5 – Phenomenal display. Foden has arrived at the world stage with this performance in this marquee match. A great goal for the fourth and set up for Gundogan’s second. Fantatsic display.

Raheem Sterling: 9 – Just excellent. Scored the fourth and set up the first, and got his first goal at Anfield since leaving the reds. Just fantastic.
