Two Manchester City Players Nominated for PL Player of the Month

Manchester City’s Ilkay Gundogan and John Stones have both been nominated January’s EA Sports Premier League Player of the Month award.

City enjoyed a perfect January, winning all six Premier League games we were involved in, a run of form that saw City go top of the table.

A fantastic run of form for both players is to thank for the nominations. Gundogan has been a machine in midfield. Not only defending, but assisting and scoring. His presence has been especially heightened since Kevin De Bruyne’s absence to injury. A once maligned player by City fans has seen him quickly become a favorite. John Stones has enjoyed a defensive renaissance as he and Ruben Dias have been an amazing partnership. Confidence seems to have played a key part in that as Stones seems unbeatable in defense and he is even scoring now as well!
