Manchester City’s latest 2-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach concludes they have set a new top-flight English record for consecutive away victories.
This was the 12th successive win away from home in all competitions, moving the blues ahead of the previous record (also set by City between May and November 2017!).
The record adds a huge part of a larger run of incredible results for Pep Guardiola’s men. City have now ammassed 19 consecutive victories in all competitions and are unbeaten in 26 games, with the last defeat coming at Tottenham in late November.
19 wins looks like this - WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
The record in the last 26 games bears out as: Won 23. Drawn 3. Lost 0.
And in that period, we have scored 61 and conceded just seven.
Massive congratulations to Pep, Juanma Lillo and all of the staff at Manchester City. This a truly joyous and monumental run and we are all glad to be witnesses.
ANOTHER RECORD BROKEN!
