Manchester City midfielder Rose Lavelle was voted Most Valuable Player in the USA’s successful defense of the SheBelieves Cup following a 6-0 victory over Argentina.
Lavelle assisted in Megan Rapinoe through for the US’ opener against the South American side with a clean in the 16th minute at the arena in Orlando, Florida.
While Lavelle did not get on the scoresheet herself, she was rightfully acknowledged for her influence across the whole tournament, which included hugely important contributions against both Canada and Brazil.
A deserved award! Hope there is now more in her future with Manchester City.
Congratulations @roselavelle!
