Caroline Weir opened up about the team and new signing recently in an interview and had a lot of interesting comments. Ranging from Hayley Raso’s impact, how they are playing so far and more.

Let’s check it out-

On Raso

“I’ve been really impressed by Hayley Raso,” Weir hailed. “She came in and she’s done such a good job.

“There can be a lot to take in at a new Club but she’s done really well.

“She joined in August so she didn’t have much time before that Real Madrid game in the Champions League.

“She was thrown in having not trained much but she impacted the game really positively and did so again against Everton.

On new signings-

“All of the new signings have been great. They’ve really added a lot to the team both on and off the pitch.

“On the pitch, we’ve seen their qualities and off it, their personalities have been great for the squad.

“They’ve settled in really quickly, as we’ve got to know each other really well.

“They’ve all played now and they’ve been really good. Hopefully, that continues.”

On herself-

“I’m all good,” she confirmed. “Post-Olympics, it took a little bit to get going again.

“It was such a high load we had over the summer, it was expected that we’d pick up a few things. I did but it was nothing serious.

“It does take a couple of weeks of proper training and gametime to get back up to the level.

“I’ve felt good physically over the last couple of games.

“Now, it’s about finding consistency again over the next few weeks and hopefully, impacting the team as well as I can.”

City have had a mix of results recently and hopefully with a small break can get back to their best as they recover from injuries. We’ll wait and see.
