Pep Guardiola is ready for a huge test this weekend v Liverpool. The Catalan manager spoke ahead of the match and had a lot to say. From the match, injury situation and more.

Let’s dive in -

“Everyone is fit except Zinchenko and Gundogan,” said Pep. “We expect both back after the international break, hopefully.”

“Our level was so great, huge in these two games,” he said.

“Despite the result in France, the performance was excellent. Same at Stamford Bridge and hopefully we can continue for nine more months ahead of us.

“Since I arrived here – the first year maybe not, but after we won 100 points - Liverpool always were there.

“Last season they had big problems with injuries in the same position.

“We were excellent again last season. Both teams are there all the time. Both clubs and organisations can say all the time we were there. This is the important thing. But we know there are many teams who can fight for Premier League.”

“He (Sterling) can play there [on the right] but at the start of the season Gabriel played there really well. In that game we need players who can attract PSG players in other areas. We need a guy who can run right and left, Sterling is the best we have in our squad.

“Last season it’s hard to do better but we have seen details that say we are still there after six years together. It makes me so proud.

“Words cannot express my sense of gratitude and my compliments at the way we played those two games. This is the target.”

Interesting thoughts, this match will definitely test City’s resolve and more.
