Manchester City has entered the race for two promising wingers out of Brazilian side Fluminense.
According to reports, City Football Group have held talks over two players: Kayky (17) and Metinho (17).
Globo Esporte report that the former is a target for Manchester City themselves, while the latter would start at another team within the City Football Group. Both players are reported to be debating an extension at Fluminense or a move abroad.
Both players have also recently been linked with Liverpool and Shakhtar Donetsk, with the latter said to have made a €5 million proposal, for Kayky.
This would be a long term play and with the reach of CFG, would make sense if the fee’s are reasonable. The players are worth a look, but with the amount of clubs involved a bidding war would not behoove City. Especially with a massive window expected this summer.
We’ll have to see and wait of anything materializes.
