Two months ago, many City fans would not have believed you if you said the league would be in our hands in the near future.

However, City are now sitting in second place, two points behind rivals Manchester United with a game in hand.

City are also into the final of the Carabao Cup and have the chance to win it for a fourth consecutive season and for a sixth time in eight years. The Blues will face Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium on the 25th April 2021.

However, it may not be as easy as it has been in the past. City often struggle against Spurs, who have already beaten us this season.

As for the FA Cup, City are looking in good stead. In the next round, City face League 2 side Cheltenham Town away in the first-ever competitive fixture between the sides, which will take place on Saturday (January 23rd).

In the round following, City will face the winners of Swansea City and Nottingham Forest. As Blues will remember, City scraped past Swansea 3-2 after going 2-0 down in the quarterfinals back in 2019.

Finally, the competition that all City fans would love to win: The Champions League. City will face Borussia Mönchengladbach in the round of 16. Rival fans have shouted about how this is an ‘easy draw’ for the Blues, and yes, on the face of it City fans would have been incredibly happy. However, just last week Mönchengladbach beat Bayern Munich 3-2 so it should not be seen as a given that we will progress to the quarterfinals.

This could be a really special season for Manchester City.
