Phil Foden wants to continue his fantastic form. After scoring the lone goal against a Brighton side down on their luck, Foden has hopes for the future.

Speaking after the match, Foden spoke on that and the feeling of scoring. Let’s see what he had to say-

“I don’t score too many right-footed so when they come along, I enjoy them and it’s always nice,” he said. “It was a good goal. I always like being in the box. I want to keep scoring goals and I’m enjoying it at the moment.”

“It definitely feels like we’re back to our best. We’re definitely taking confidence from these last couple of performances,” he added.

“We dug deep to get the win. Overall I’m very proud of the team and how we kept going until the final whistle and it’s a great result.

“They defended well and they had a good game plan, they made it difficult for us to break them down, but to get the goal before half time was so important and for me to score the winner, I’m delighted.”

“We know we have a game in hand now and we have to think of the next opponent, and not look too far ahead.

“We want to keep this form and we want to keep pushing to try to win the league hopefully.”

Have to be happy for Foden. Despite the many criticisms of his handling, I think Pep Guardiola has managed the situation as best as he can. He’s played plenty and can only improve. It will be fun to see.
