Manchester City Women’s Intercontinental League Cup clash with Chelsea has been rearranged for Wednesday 20th January. The blues were set to play the Londoners on Wednesday 13th, but it will now take place a week later with a 1730 kick-off time.

City take on the holders as they look to reclaim the title they last won in 2019, when they beat Arsenal on penalties at Bramhall Lane after the match ended 0-0. Should City win the trophy again, it would be their fourth success in the competition, just one behind Arsenal’s five, however they face a Chelsea side that have already beaten the blues 3-1 this season.

Like City, Chelsea also finished top of their group after beating Arsenal 4-1 and Spurs 2-0, while their final group match against London City Lionesses was postponed. The London blues will be looking to become the first team to win the cup twice in succession since 2013, when Arsenal were victorious again.

The match will be the start of an evening of football on the blues half of Manchester, with the men’s team due to face Aston Villa in the Premier League, and fans can watch our girls match live on the FA Player.
