The Eric Garcia transfer saga nears its conclusion. Fabrizio Romano reports he has agreed personal terms with Barcelona ahead of a free move away from the Etihad to the Camp Nou.
This should be the conclusion on this long saga that will end with City not getting a dime for a player they ultimately developed. That raises questions if Catalan executives at City should have accepted a 15-18m euro bid this past summer instead of letting him go for free.
Alas, Garcia seems destined to return to Spain and Barcelona still stand to lose Lionel Messi, possibly to City. So, we will wait and see what happens.
Garcia has been injured this season, but he did seemed placed at fourth or fifth option at center back so maybe it is not a bad deal. And as we have reported before, City are planning a major move/s in the summer.
An eventful window awaits for all Manchester City fans.
