Pep Guardiola wants to stay at Manchester City. From the Manchester Evening News, comes new comments about Pep’’s future and more.

Pep said-

“I would love to stay longer here. It is a place I love to be. This club achieved standards in the last decade. We have to maintain that. I am going to see if I deserve it this season in terms of how the club goes forward and improves.”

“They didn’t push me from day one to today. They allow me to do my job. This is going to continue. They didn’t tell me you have to do this or that, or you have to win this or win that. They told me to play.”

Pep on player safety-

“I don’t understand why, in this incredible period, when everyone is concerned about Covid-19 and is not allowed to go to the restaurants and is not allowed to do what you want to do, that you cannot protect the players with five substitutes...”

“The guys below the top six - they have the same [situation], games every three days. You have to protect the players. But I don’t decide this kind of situations.”

Pep has been in a more talkative mood lately, which should be good as he gets his thoughts out there. We’ll see how they impact on the pitch Monday.
