The transfer rumors continue at a ferocious pace.

After signing Nathan Ake and Ferran Torres there are some higher profile rumors we have now. The two are persistent one’s that have had much action.

Manchester City have been rumored to be down to Kalidou Koulibaly and Jose Maria Gimenez. In the departures, Nico Otamendi is also close to an exit.

Let’s take a look at the most recent rumors.

Kalidou Koulibaly

The latest offer had it at €65m and I don’t think Man CIty will raise it. ADL from Napoli’s leadership is a stubborn individual and it’s why the next player could be priority #1.

Jose Maria Gimenez

Now, I know spending more for Gimenez seems counter intuitive, but he is much younger than Koulibaly and can be a linchpin for 5-8 years. The numbers make sense. His release clause is 120, so Atletico won’t let him go for less. But, if Gimenez applies a little pressure as we near the end of the window, it could work out. Gimenez, is a rock solid defender and could be very good with Laporte along side him. We’ll see.

Nico Otamendi

A report in the departures section for Man City. FC Porto is reportedly trying to secure his services.

What’s interesting here is Inter Milan, Lazio and Valencia are also in for him. That should bump up his value a bit and can get City 8-10 million according to latest reports. That’s great business for a player who might have left for free a month ago.
