American World Cup winner Rose Lavelle has spoken of how she is enjoying life at Manchester City, despite not featuring for the blues in their two games so far.
Lavelle was finally able to link up with her City teammates this week after spending two weeks in quarantine, and could feature in City’s first home match of the season as they welcome Brighton and Hove Albion to Manchester.
The first few days have been awesome,” Lavelle said. “Getting in with the team and training has been super fun and the girls have been really welcoming and I’m really looking forward to continuing to do so.
“The facilities are incredible. Everything you could need is at your fingertips and in one place. It’s amazing. It has been everything I expected and then some.
“You know this is a world class facility but when you come here and experience it yourself it’s a whole different level.”
Lavelle joins fellow American Sam Mewis, along with Chloe Kelly and has seen former blue Lucy Bronze return to the club and former United star Alex Greenwood arrive and is looking forward to starting her City career.
City take on Brighton after gaining an opening day win at Villa Park last weekend, when a Georgia Stanway double secured a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa.
